Lamb stuffed with ham, cheese and dates

Ingredients

1 boneless leg of Lamb

Slices of ham (if you prefer a lighter taste) or Iberian ham (for those who prefer more flavor)

Gorgonzola or mozzarella

Boneless dates

Red wine

Water

Salt and pepper

Oregano

 

Elaboration

Stretch the piece of lamb and season it. Then fill the piece with a layer of ham, another of cheese and dates (you can split them in half or cut into cubes). Roll the meat and tie it with thread.

Preheat the oven to 200ºc. Put the meat in a baking tray, season it and sprinkle it oregano. Add the water, the wine and salt.

Introduce the lamb in the oven and cook during an hour and half, turning it every 30 minutes.

A perfect garrison can be a gratin of potato with raclette cheese and butter.
