How to store the meat at home

- One of the most important things when we buy meat is how we should store it correctly for the consume and save all its properties.

The first thing and most important is to make sure that the meat is in perfect conditions, but that we already handle us because in Avesa we provide you the best quality meat. But sometimes we store it so much time at home and this can damage the meat. For this reason, we should review it.

We can save the fresh meat in the fridge approximately 2 or 3 days as maximum, although depends on of the type of meat since, for example, the mince should be consumed few hours after has been chopped, since is more prone to spoil is.

We recommend to store the meat in large pieces and cut it before to consume it, but if you want to cut them into smaller pieces, wash the cutting board after preparing raw meat.

Save the meat in hermetic containers and not wrapped in paper or plastic, and always in the colder part of the refrigerator. Although another option is save it in the freezer where it can be preserved during much more time (it’s important to follow an appropriate procedure to defrost it).

Whatever you do it, it’s very important to have and adequate treatment to the meat pieces that you are going to consume since it’s a delicate food.
