How to prepare Christmas stuffed soup typical from Mallorca

One of the most typical Christmas dishes here in Mallorca is the famous Christmas stuffed soup and with this cold weather… who can resist to a good dish of hot soup? And if you use first quality ingredients bought in the Mercat de Santa Catalina much better.

The Christmas stuffed soup is so easy to prepare but always becomes the star dish during the Christmas. To prepare it, we must fill the galets with a mixture of minced meat of pork and beef that you can find in our butcher, and we can chop it for you. To this mixture, add a very small garlic clove, a pinch of nutmeg, parsley and an egg.

When we have the galets filled, only we will have to prepare a good broth. For this purpose, we can use a piece of free-range chicken, and 250 gr of morcillo from Avesa. Also we will use a carrot, a potato, a leek, half onion, a tomato, three liters of water and salt.

With this delicious broth add stuffed pasta and let it cook and that’s all.
